Pan-American Chess Championships - December 27th-30th - South Padre Island, Texas ---------------------------
Last year, we sent a team to the Pan-American Chess Championship in Dallas, TX. We also played the Amateur Team North at Wisconsin, and we played a tournament at Northwestern University. We also sent players to the Chicago Open. We hosted one tournament at the Tribune McCormick Lounge. One of our most exciting events there was the lecture and simultaneous exhibition (appropriately titled the Fury of Yury) by none other than former U.S. Champion Yury Shulman.  We expect to continue these events and introduce more in the upcoming year. To support us and the chess community, please come out and participate or even volunteer at our numerous events! |
